Volunteering

Volunteering in your local park or open space is great way to help improve your local community, gain new skills, meet new people, get some fresh air and improve your health and wellbeing.  As part of our recent campaign to support parks and open spaces we have a calendar of volunteer opportunities for you to get involved with – tasks, sites and times vary so hopefully there is something for you.

Unfortunately due to the current covid-19 situation we have suspended volunteer sessions until further notice.  Clean Champion volunteers are still able to litter pick following government guidance – if you want to know more about becoming a Clean Champion please click here.

We hope to have volunteer sessions in parks and open spaces soon so why not take part in our volunteer pledge, where you pledge to volunteer in a park or open space in Nottingham in the future. All you need to do is fill in your details below and we will let you know when future volunteer opportunities become available:

Thanks for pledging to volunteer on Nottingham’s parks and open spaces in the future. Why not share you pledge with friends on social media @NottinghamFPA #parksvolunteerpledge

All sessions need to be booked via the links on each session and we will be following covid-19 guidelines to ensure your volunteering experience is safe.  To volunteer we ask:

If you have symptons of covid-19 or are in a period of isolation please do not attend volunteering sessions.

If you have any queries or need more information please contact parks.volunteering@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or phone 0115 9152733.

We look forward to working alongside you on Nottingham’s parks and open spaces.
