Volunteering in your local park or open space is great way to help improve your local community, gain new skills, meet new people, get some fresh air and improve your health and wellbeing. As part of our recent campaign to support parks and open spaces we have a calendar of volunteer opportunities for you to get involved with – tasks, sites and times vary so hopefully there is something for you.
If you have symptons of covid-19 or are in a period of isolation please do not attend volunteering sessions.
We look forward to working alongside you on Nottingham’s parks and open spaces.
The Green Groups Fund is a low level funding pot for groups involved with ‘green’ voluntary activities on Nottingham’s parks and open spaces eg Friends of groups, Tenants and Residents Associations. The fund aims to make voluntary activity easier by funding items that volunteers use regularly during group activities e.g. refreshments, tools, gloves. Groups can apply for funding from £20 to a maximum of £100.
Please note that we will only accept applications from green groups volunteering in the Nottingham City Council boundary.
To apply, download the form below or contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline for applications is 16th April.
